The Society was founded in 1959: to share with others an
interest in natural history; to provide an opportunity to
learn more of the subject through talks and outings, take
an active interest in local nature conservation and keep
records of local flora and fauna.
Meetings are held at Greyfriars in Ringwood, from September until April, at 7:30pm on the 2nd & 4th
Thursday of the month. Walks and other outings take place throughout the year.
We take our time to identify flowering plants, birds and butterflies etc.
If you are interested in natural history do come along for one of our walks, or meet up with us for a get-together. We
normally take a picnic lunch during the summer months: in the winter there's the opportunity for those not walking to
meet us for a pub lunch.
New members and visitors can be sure of a warm welcome.
